OpenBuildings™ Station Designer Help

To Export Joists

  1. Select ( Create ISM Repository ) from the ribbon.

    The ISM Export dialog appears.

  2. From the ISM Export dialog menu bar, select File > New, and navigate to the location in which you want save the ISM repository file.
Note: The joists will likely be manipulated by an application such as RAM Structural Systems. Bentley Structural Synchronizer (ISM) data exchange capabilities coupled with the OpenBuildings Station Designer ISM link ensure joists from all participating ISM Structural design applications can access the exported joists, manipulate them, and export them back to OpenBuildings Station Designer via ISM (See Update from ISM Repository ).
  3. Click Export. A progress bar appears providing status of the Structural member types being exported. When the export is completed, a message appears in the Message Center “Export Complete”, and the ISM Export dialog closes. A new ISM repository is created. If you open it, you will see the exported joists.
